These include Conscious/Subconscious, Heaven/Earth, Internal/External, Self/Other. The general meaning is that everything has both mundane and sacred aspects. And that everything mundane can be seen as sacred and vice versa. It also means that that anything which is an internal/subconscious As Above, So Below (2014) is an American horror found footage movie that did not stand up to my expectations. Director and co-writer John Erick Dowdle ( Devil (2010) , Quarantine (2008) , The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) ) failed at executing this movie because the storyline had potential. As Above So Below Had One Interesting Element That Made It a Cult Classic. As Above, So Below has multiple terrifying moments that diversify the film, including one important element worth waiting for at the end. The 2014 horror film As Above, So Below was distributed by Universal Pictures and is considered a modern adaptation of Dante's Inferno.

In the heavens above, the planetā€™s energies are that which is so below on earth. We humans who live on the so below are made of these same heavenly energies of that which is as above. Hence, the microcosm is oneself, and the macrocosm is the universe. As Above, So Below is equal parts conspiracy theory/puzzle film, occult film, and monster film with some mild body horror and claustrophobia/fear of enclosed spaces thrown in for good measure.
There's a sequel, and while the premise and some of the execution is interesting, it isn't nearly as good as the first film. Again, some interesting things happen, and I'd recommend it if you enjoy the first one, but it's not quite there. Oh, and when you watch The Blair Witch Project, best to do so at night with the sound up!
